AdEngage Review
AdEngage is an ads marketplace who offer highly customizable ‘PhoText’ ads, which include a link, thumbnail, and description. AdEngage has a directory of over 3000 publishers, which an advertiser can search and purchase an ad on the site of their choice. The directory by default orders the sites by the amount of clicks their ads receive, so the higher your traffic and CTR the better you will do with AdEngage. The site directory is shown in screenshot 1.
If a potential advertiser clicks your site in the directory thay are displayed a ‘Buy an Ad’ page which lists various details about your site shown in screenshot 2. Screenshot 3 shows what an AdEngage PhoText ad looks like, with network ads (not privately sold ads).
AdEngage lets you choose your own prices, and if people like your price they will buy ads on your site. If your traffic is high, your CTR is high, and your niche is good you can charge a lot per week and still make ad sales. However, if you overprice your ads you may not make a single private ad sale and therefor be left with low paying network ads.
Following is a graph tracking the CPM of AdEngage before and after making a private ad sale. As you can see after making one private ad sale the CPM jumps from $0.02 to $0.09 - not amazing, but this is with a 0.32% CTR and only 1 of 3 private ad spots sold. The CPM potential is certainly there, but you must sell all three private ad spots to achieve the full potential, a higher CTR would also help.

Earning Potential
The network ads earn very little ($0.02 CPM), and are not targeted either. However, their private ad sales feature has far more potential.AdEngage lets you choose your own prices, and if people like your price they will buy ads on your site.
