Text Link Ads Review

Text Link Ads lets you sell you text links on your sites. You install their PHP code and then they sell up to 10 links on your site, the price depending on PageRank and Alexa rank and possibly other things.

Earning Potential

I installed Text Link Ads’ code on a site with a PageRank of 4 and an Alexa rank of 20,000, the price per link per month is $45 and it took 2 weeks to see the first link sale. An extra $1.50 per day per link sold is pretty good, but selling the maximum of 10 links would be pretty hard. Text Link Ads can earn along-side any other program of your choice such as Adsense, Zango, or Adbrite. If all 10 Text Link Ads were sold, this website would earn an extra $450 per month on top of its other revenue sources. There is certainly a lot of potential in Text Link Ads but to reach its full potential may be hard.

Payment Methods

Payments are sent on the 1st of the month. The payment methods include: Check, PayPal, Payoneer or TLA Voucher (which also receives a 15% bonus). There is no minimum payout for PayPal and a $25 minimum for the other payment methods.

Best Suited Websites

The higher your PageRank and Alexa rank, the higher the price is for each link on your site. Well established websites with quality backlinks earn the most from Text Link Ads. This does not rule out lower PageRank and Alexa rank sites though, since selling Text Link Ads is an additional revenue stream for your website it can be run along-side any other program.

Special Notes

Google discourages the selling of links, so by using Text Link Ads you are risking a PageRank penalty and possibly a search engine ranking penalty. Text Link Ads lets you moderate the links which are displayed on your site, and if you allow only relevant links you can minimize the risk of a penalty.
