Zango Syndicated Content
An alternative to the Zango gateway is their syndicated content. While a gateway is implemented on your own content, syndicated content is content provided to you by Zango that already has a gateway attached. See the following images to see syndicated content in action -
On the left image, note the three top right thumbnails next to the bright red arrow, they look just like the rest of the content but actually it is Zango syndicated content. To the right is a gateway that is displayed if the visitor clicks on the syndicated content. If the visitor downloads the content plus Zango you between $0.10 and $0.75 - simple!
For best effect you can create a website with 100% Zango syndicated content and receive sky-high conversion rates (1:5 of clicks). If you implement Zango syndicated content into an existing website like in the example above the conversion rates are decent, but not sky-high (1:15 of clicks).
Setting up Zango syndicated content can be a little confusing, but with the help of your personal manager or the following instruction you should be fine.

Setting up Zango syndicated content can be a little confusing, but with the help of your personal manager or the following instruction you should be fine.
-
After clicking ‘Programs’ then ‘Syndication’ you are displayed the following page (screenshot). The ‘Website’ section is self-explanatory, the ‘Delivery Configuration’ section is more complicated and very important.
Static vs Dynamic Content Delivery -- Static content delivery lets you pick the exact pieces of syndicated content you want to display on your site, you may for example pick 5 different syndicated screensavers.
- Dynamic content on the other hand, lets you choose a category of content that you would like to display and Zango rotates the content on your site automatically, you might choose to display 5 random screensavers rotated each day
Zip vs XML vs JavaScript -- Zip File content gives you complete control over the display of the content, you can edit the HTML, the CSS, and even the images themselves.
- XML content is similar to Zip File content in that you have a lot of control, but the content is provided to you as links rather than a Zip folder.
- JavaScript is dead easy but lacks customizability. Just copy and paste the JavaScript into your site and you’re done.
- Pick and choose the content you want to display on your website from the available categories: video, audio, games, software, screensavers, and IM emoticons. You can choose either entire categories of content or specific content depending on your ‘Delivery Configuration’ in the previous step.
- On this page you modify the look of your syndicated content, mainly the HTML table in which it will be displayed. You should blend the syndicated content into your website’s layout if you want to achieve the maximum possible conversion rate.
- If you agree to Zango’s terms, hit ‘I Agree’. Now copy your code, or download your zip file, and so on. Finally, install the content on your website.
- Here is the example from the start of the article, some highly blended Zango syndicated content ready for a high CTR and high conversion rate.
- And again, the gateway which is displayed to a user who is about to download some Zango syndicated content.
